MauiBrilliant (Abbe 56, the clearest optics), MauiUltra (Abbe 46, the only one offering Maui HT Photochromic), Maui Evolution 1.60 (Abbe 43), Maui Evolution 1.67 (Abbe 32, the widest prescription range on this frame), Polycarbonate (Abbe 30, the most impact-resistant). A higher Abbe value means less colour fringing at the edge of the lens.

Eleven. The plain polarized tints are Neutral Grey, HCL Bronze, Maui Rose and Maui HT. The mirror finishes are Blue Hawaii, Maui Sunrise, MauiGreen, Hawaii Seashine, Hawaii Glow and Hawaii Lava. Maui HT Photochromic is light-adaptive and is made in MauiUltra only. Not every tint is made in every lens material, so the picker on this page disables the ones your chosen material does not offer.

PolarizedPlus2 is Maui Jim's own lens treatment. A polarising filter removes glare bouncing off flat surfaces such as water and roads, and colour-enhancing, anti-reflective and hydrophobic layers are built on top of that filter rather than the filter working on its own. That is why the view reads as lifted colour rather than as everything being dimmed.

Maui Jim's MyMaui programme can genuinely swap a stock lens colour, but it is a manual order our staff place with Maui Jim and there is no automated intake for it — so a plano tint change is a call or an email to us, not a checkout option.
