Where are Akoni glasses made?

What are Akoni glasses made of?
Akoni frames are crafted from either premium Japanese titanium or Japanese acetate (Zyl), made from renewable wood and cotton; many styles combine both materials for added durability and design detail.
Why is Japanese titanium considered higher quality?
The highest quality titanium is still sourced exclusively from Japan — it's hypoallergenic, roughly as light as aluminum yet twice as strong, and stronger than steel at about half the weight, making it an ideal material for premium eyewear.
Are Akoni glasses worth the price?
The price reflects genuine Japanese manufacturing — hand-finished titanium and extended-process acetate, produced in collaboration with master artisans using techniques like Japanese joinery and Kiriko glasswork.
