Yes. Gazal Eyecare is an authorized dealer for every brand we carry — including Akoni Eyewear. Every frame is 100% authentic and sourced directly, with full manufacturer support.

  • Standard Orders: Ship as soon as ready and arrive within 3–7 business days (domestic).
  • Prescription Orders: Ship immediately upon completion of your custom lenses.
  • Special Orders & Pre-Orders: Require additional production time. For example, custom frames are ordered directly for you and take roughly 4–5 weeks to arrive before lens crafting begins.

Almost every Akoni frame is made in Japan, handcrafted in collaboration with some of the country's most esteemed artisans using traditional techniques drawn from Japan's broader arts and crafts heritage.

Akoni frames are crafted from either premium Japanese titanium or Japanese acetate (Zyl), made from renewable wood and cotton; many styles combine both materials for added durability and design detail.

The highest quality titanium is still sourced exclusively from Japan — it's hypoallergenic, roughly as light as aluminum yet twice as strong, and stronger than steel at about half the weight, making it an ideal material for premium eyewear.

The price reflects genuine Japanese manufacturing — hand-finished titanium and extended-process acetate, produced in collaboration with master artisans using techniques like Japanese joinery and Kiriko glasswork.

Yes. Our in-house lens studio fits Akoni optical frames with single vision, progressive, or polarized lenses as needed.

Wipe frames with a soft microfiber cloth and use lukewarm water with mild soap if needed — avoid harsh solvents on the acetate finish. Bring frames in periodically for a professional adjustment and cleaning.
